Job Description

Design and develop plumbing and firefighting systems for high-rise buildings, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.

Perform water supply, drainage, and stormwater system calculations, pipe sizing, and pump selection using industry-standard software.

Prepare detailed design drawings, BOQs, technical reports, and project specifications.

Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, Dubai Municipality (DM) codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, UPC, and BS/EN standards.

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to optimize plumbing layouts.

Select and specify pumps, tanks, water heaters, valves, sanitary fixtures, and fire suppression systems as per project needs.

Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical evaluations to ensure proper installation and commissioning of plumbing systems.

Assist in the preparation of tender documents, technical proposals, and cost estimations.

Troubleshoot and resolve design and implementation challenges.

Stay updated with the latest plumbing design trends, sustainable water management practices, and energy-efficient solutions.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 1-4 years of experience in plumbing design

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, WaterCAD, Pipe Flow Expert, or other plumbing design software.

Strong knowledge of UAE Plumbing Codes, IPC, BS/EN, ASHRAE, NFPA, and LEED requirements.

Experience in designing potable water supply, drainage, stormwater, firefighting, and greywater recycling systems.
