Job Description

Installation

: Install new pipes, fixtures (toilets, sinks, showers), water heaters, and drainage systems in new construction or renovated properties.

Repair and Maintenance

: Diagnose and fix problems such as leaks, clogs, and broken pipes. Perform routine maintenance to prevent future issues.

Emergency Services

: Respond to and resolve emergency calls, such as pipe bursts or major leaks.

Inspection

: Inspect plumbing systems for potential problems and to ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations.

Code Compliance

: Ensure all work adheres to local and national plumbing codes and safety standards.

Estimation

: Provide cost estimates for repairs and installations to clients or property managers.

Record Keeping

: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
Qualifications and skills

Experience

: Minimum of 2 years of plumbing experience is often required.

Licensing

: A valid plumbing license is usually necessary.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in reading blueprints, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of water supply, drainage, and heating systems are essential.

Physical Requirements

: Must have the physical stamina to work in various conditions, including tight spaces, and be able to lift or pull heavy objects.

Interpersonal Skills

: Good communication skills are needed for explaining issues and providing cost estimates to clients.
