Job Description

Installation

: Fit and install pipes, fixtures, and appliances according to blueprints and specifications.

Maintenance

: Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems and appliances like water heaters and boilers.

Repair

: Diagnose and fix issues such as leaks, clogs, and broken pipes.

System servicing

: Install, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems, and handle gas lines.

Safety and compliance

: Inspect plumbing systems to ensure they meet all building codes and safety regulations.

Customer service

: Communicate with customers, provide cost estimates, and respond to emergency call-outs.
Required skills and qualifications

Strong technical skills for troubleshooting and repair. Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment, such as pipe wrenches and cutters. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Physical stamina for tasks like lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Relevant trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship.
