Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial structures.
Read blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
Install and maintain water supply systems, waste disposal systems, and related appliances and equipment.
Inspect plumbing systems for proper operation and code compliance.
Identify plumbing problems and propose effective solutions.
Work with hand and power tools to perform job tasks efficiently.
Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes.
Keep accurate records of time spent and materials used on jobs.
Provide cost estimates and job timelines to clients as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a plumber (apprenticeship or relevant experience required).
Knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good physical condition and stamina.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.
