Qualification:
1. Diploma (Mech./Prod.) includes candidates who have done a 4 years diploma in
N.T.T.F.
2. B.E / B. Tech or M.E/ M. Tech (Mech/Prod.)
Key responsibilities:
o3D Design Activities - 3D Concept Design and Development
oProduct/Process technical convergence
oEnsure compatible interfaces (Style, materials, shape, surface condition, Thickness)
oConsideration of Uniform wall thickness, Draft Angle Root Thickness create Close
volume.
oGD&T, PCPs (Part Control Plan), Stack up analysis
oExcellent knowledge in defining Datum strategy Using 3-2-1 principle and tolerances
definition in the initial stage of the product (Pre Tolerancing). - Locating & Fixing Strategy.
oWrapping areas and Cutting areas
o3D Design update with tuning loops during industrialization phase including BOM and
documentations support
o2D Drawing with tuning loops during industrialization phase including BOM and
documentations support
oGood exposure in the area of automotive Interior trims Door trim, Pillar trims, Centre
console, IP, DP, Tail Gate.
oKnowledge on tooling feasibility with tool direction definition. Initial Tooling and Parting
Line Creation.
oExperience of DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DFS, Styling Feasibility & Assembly sequence of
parts.
oSpecialties:3D modelling and Product Design (Catia V5), Surfacing, Define RPS,
plastic part development, Route cause analysis, style feasibility, manufacturing
feasibility.
oProduct Design, A Surface Analysis, Part Split
oMaster section Creation, CAD Development
oPackaging Study, Regulation Check, Clash Analysis
oGap & Flush Check, OQ Sections
oBOM Creation & Weight Sheet Calculation
oCATIA V5 - Part Modeling, Generative Shape Design, Assembly design of DFMEA
Design Feasibility of class A surface.
oAnalysis of A surface for tooling feasibility, Crowning & Homologation Curvature
analysis & Joining tolerance check and creation of report to the customer.
oCreate concept 3d manufacturing requirement & readiness for mass production
oCreation of fully parametric 3D feature.
oFollowing Design rules for plastic product design & Developed 3d Data.
A class surface analysis.
B side technical features creation and modification such as locators, snaps, screw
boss, dog house, ribs.
Thoroughly maintaining Gap and Flushness for part checking as per customer
requirement
Design of B-side features and considering the undercuts and the use of Lifters and
Sliders.
