Job Description

We are looking for a skilled PLC SCADA Engineer / Programmer with experience in Water Treatment Plant (WTP) automation to manage, program, and troubleshoot industrial control systems including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and associated field instruments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in configuring and commissioning automation systems, ensuring seamless plant operation, and supporting site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and program PLC logic for WTP processes (Intake well, Filtration, Dosing, Sludge Handling, Pumping stations, etc.).

Configure and implement SCADA/HMI interfaces for real-time plant control and monitoring.

Perform on-site commissioning and startup of control systems and automation panels.

Integrate instrumentation and field devices (pressure, flow, level, turbidity, etc.) with PLC systems.

Troubleshoot automation issues during project execution and post-commissioning.

Collaborate with the design and electrical teams for cable laying, termination, and panel installation supervision.

Maintain proper documentation of I/O lists, P&IDs, control philosophy, PLC/SCADA backups, and wiring diagrams.

Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for smooth project delivery.

Provide technical support and training to operators and site engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering.

Proficiency in PLC programming platforms such as Siemens (S7-1200/1500, TIA Portal), Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, etc.

Experience with SCADA software: WinCC, Wonderware, iFIX, Citect, Indusoft, etc.

Hands-on with fieldbus protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet.

Understanding of process automation, P&ID diagrams, loop diagrams, and control logic.

Familiar with WTP/ETP/STP process flows and automation requirements.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Willingness to travel to remote project sites.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):

Experience with remote monitoring systems and IoT-based automation.

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.

Experience with panel design and FAT/SAT documentation.

Salary: 75000 to 200000.
