The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols, along with a solid understanding of electrical and automation engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Design, program, and modify
PLC logic
for automated equipment and industrial machinery.
Develop and configure
HMI/SCADA screens
for operator interfaces.
Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network communication issues.
Participate in control system design, including electrical schematics and panel layouts.
Perform on-site commissioning, testing, and system validation.
Provide documentation, including control logic descriptions, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Maintain and improve existing control systems to enhance productivity and reliability.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers to achieve project goals.
Ensure compliance with
safety standards (NFPA 70E, OSHA, IEC, etc.)

Offer remote or on-site technical support to maintenance and operations teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics
or related field (or equivalent experience).
Hands-on experience with one or more PLC platforms such as:
Proficiency in ladder logic, function block, and structured text programming.
Experience with
HMI/SCADA
systems (WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, Ignition, etc.).
Understanding of industrial communication protocols:
EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, Profibus, OPC-UA
, etc.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics (AutoCAD/EPLAN experience is a plus).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with robotics
Knowledge of motion control, servo systems, and VFDs.
Experience with SCADA reporting, historian systems, or IIoT integration.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and industrial automation standards.
Willingness to travel for site support and commissioning.
Work Environment
Industrial/manufacturing setting, machine shops, and occasional field/site work.
May require travel depending on project locations.
