Job Title: Automation Engineer (Manufacturing - Electrical Engineering)

Reports to: Engineering Manager / Plant Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in Electrical Engineering to design, develop, implement, and maintain automated systems in our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving efficiency, quality, and safety through automation solutions, with a key focus on electrical systems, PLC programming, and control systems integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop automated electrical systems, including control panels, motor drives, sensors, and actuators. Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric). Develop and implement automation strategies to optimize production processes and reduce manual intervention. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality assurance to identify opportunities for automation. Analyze system requirements, risks, and integration challenges. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices. Support installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of automated equipment and systems. Prepare technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and operating instructions. Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring automation failures or performance issues.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. 6+ years of experience in automation or controls engineering in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in PLC programming (ladder logic, structured text) and HMI/SCADA systems. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, and instrumentation. Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
