PLC Programmer

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

5 - 6 years of hands-on experience PLC Programming

Key Responsibilities:

PLC Programming: Write, test, and modify PLC programs, primarily using Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC platforms, based on process requirements, technical specifications, and project goals. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in PLC systems and automation processes, minimizing downtime and maintaining efficient system performance. System Integration: Work closely with other engineers to integrate PLC systems with HMI, SCADA, sensors, and other automation technologies. Maintenance & Support: Perform regular maintenance and software updates to PLC systems, ensuring reliable and continuous operations. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for PLC programs, electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and operational manuals. Testing and Commissioning: Assist in testing and commissioning PLC systems on-site, ensuring systems meet design specifications and function as expected. Collaboration: Work with other technical teams and production personnel to identify and implement system improvements or new automation projects. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all programming and automation systems comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram (FBD). Experience working with Siemens and Mitsubishi PLCs (e.g., Siemens S7, MitsubishiFX/FX5). Familiarity with industrial automation protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profi bus. Strong understanding of electrical control systems, sensors, actuators, and motor control. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams. Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with PLC-controlled systems and automation processes quickly. Familiarity with automation software and development tools like TIA Portal (Siemens), GX Works (Mitsubishi), or similar platforms. Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with team members, management, and clients.
