Automation/Controls Engineer or Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
The PLC Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) programs for automated machinery and processes. The role ensures smooth operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of industrial control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs for automation systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, etc.).
Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and production teams to implement automation solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues in machinery and production lines.
Conduct system upgrades and program modifications as needed.
Create and maintain documentation, including program logic diagrams, manuals, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations.
Assist in commissioning and startup of new equipment.
Support SCADA/HMI integration and communication with PLCs.
Optimize PLC programs to improve production efficiency and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
Proven experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar).
Familiarity with SCADA/HMI systems.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
Good understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
