The PLC Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems used in industrial automation and control processes. This role ensures machines and systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and debug PLC programs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron)
Design and modify control logic, HMI, and SCADA systems
Troubleshoot automation and control system issues
Perform system testing, commissioning, and on-site support
Read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and production teams
Maintain documentation for programs, changes, and procedures
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering
Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, FBD, STL)
Experience with industrial sensors, motors, drives, and actuators
Understanding of control systems and industrial networking
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HMI/SCADA software
Knowledge of VFDs, servo systems, and industrial communication protocols
Experience in manufacturing, process, or automation industries
