Job Description
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas.
Change bed linens and restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
Safely handle and dispose of medical waste and biohazards according to hospital protocols.
Operate cleaning equipment (mops, vacuums, buffers) safely and effectively.
Follow infection prevention and control standards at all times.
Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from nursing staff and supervisors.
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and families.
