Position: General Manager
Role Overview
The General Manager oversees all operational, financial, and administrative aspects of the hospital, ensuring efficient management, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. The role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and coordination across clinical and non-clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership for hospital operations, including clinical, administrative, and support services.
Develop and execute strategic plans, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Monitor financial performance, budgets, revenue streams, and resource utilization.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (NABH/JCI), and statutory requirements.
Supervise department heads, administrative staff, and interdepartmental coordination.
Oversee patient care quality, safety, and satisfaction metrics.
Plan and implement hospital growth, expansion, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and contracts.
Resolve escalated patient or staff issues professionally and effectively.
Report to hospital board/trustees and provide performance updates and strategic recommendations.
Drive continuous quality improvement and staff development programs.
