Job Description

Supervise and manage the nursing workforce, including ward supervisors, staff nurses, and nursing aides.
Ensure high standards of patient care, hygiene, infection control, and safety protocols are maintained.
Develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and procedures in alignment with hospital standards.
Oversee duty rosters, leave schedules, and ensure adequate staffing levels across shifts.
Conduct regular rounds to monitor nursing practices and address any issues affecting patient care.
Provide mentorship, support, and ongoing training to nursing staff.
Handle patient or family complaints related to nursing services, ensuring proper resolution.
Coordinate with other departments (medical, housekeeping, administration) to ensure seamless patient care.
Monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI).
Participate in recruitment, appraisal, and disciplinary actions of nursing staff.
Maintain records and reports related to nursing services, audits, and incidents.
