Job Description

- Prepare and operate heart-lung machines, oxygenator, and related equipment during cardiac surgeries.- Monitor and control circulatory and metabolic parameters, including oxygenation, carbon dioxide removal, and acid- base balance.- Select and prepare appropriate fluids and medication for the perfusion process.- Handle perfusion techniques for a range of procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve repairs, and transplant surgeries.- Monitor patient's vital signs and respond promptly to abnormalities.- Provide perfusion services during emergencies or shock cases if required.- Perform proper maintenance and calibration of perfusion equipment.- Prepare reports and documents related to the procedure for patient's medical records.- Support the surgical team by applying specialized knowledge and expertise.- Stay updated with advances in perfusion technology and practices through continuing education.
