To manage and control all plating plant operations ensuring
quality, productivity, safety, cost control, and statutory compliance
, while meeting production targets and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities Production & Operations
Plan, organize, and control daily plating operations as per production schedules.
Ensure smooth functioning of plating lines Acid zinc
Automatic Barrel Line
Monitor process parameters such as bath composition, temperature, current density, and cycle times.
Minimize rejections, rework, and process losses.
Improve productivity through process optimization and continuous improvement.
Quality Control
Ensure plating thickness, adhesion, appearance, and corrosion resistance as per specifications.
Implement and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.
Handle customer complaints related to plating quality and ensure root cause analysis & CAPA.
Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and audits.
Maintenance & Utilities
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of plating equipment, tanks, rectifiers, jigs, and hoists.
Ensure proper upkeep of ETP, scrubbers, and fume extraction systems.
Maintain spares and consumables inventory.
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
Ensure compliance with safety norms related to chemicals, acids, alkalis, and electrical equipment.
Enforce use of PPE and safe operating practices.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (ETP operation, waste disposal, hazardous chemicals handling).
Coordinate with EHS team for statutory inspections and audits.
Manpower Management
Manage operators, supervisors, and technicians in the plating department.
Plan manpower deployment and shift scheduling.
Train employees on process, safety, and quality requirements.
Monitor discipline, attendance, and performance.
Cost & Inventory Control
Control chemical consumption, power, water, and material wastage.
Monitor plating chemical inventory and ensure timely procurement.
Support cost reduction initiatives and yield improvement.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain production records, chemical analysis reports, quality logs, and safety records.
Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF / customer-specific requirements.
Support internal, external, and customer audits.

Educational Qualification
Diploma / BE / B. Tech in
Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy
or equivalent.
Experience
5-8 years
of experience in electroplating operations
Minimum
3-5 years
in a supervisory or managerial role
