Senior Platform Engineer Vault

The cloud movement at CommBank is going strong and continues to grow. We are looking for out of the box thinkers who want to use technology to work on real-world problems that have the potential to change the lives of our 17 million+ customers. The successful applicant will join a team tasked to build and operate the secret management platform for the bank which is built using HashiCorp Vault. You will be expected to continuously improve the platform through DevSecOps model and improve the security posture of the bank in this area.

Roles & responsibilities:

Ensure the platform is running 24/7 and respond to incidents as needed. Design and build all aspects of an enterprise platform, e.g. tooling, CI/CD, Security, Observability. Share engineering knowledge through presentation, blogs, videos with the broader engineering community. Collaborate with Product Owner and team to create relevant engineering roadmaps.

Essential skills:

Minimum 7 years of experience. Working with programming languages, such as Golang, is a must. Any additional languages like Rust are desirable. Possesses technical hands-on experience in AWS. Have very good understanding of Docker container and Kubernetes technology. Have very good system design/architecture knowledge. Have very good communication skills (verbal and written). Proficient with versioning systems and CI/CD tools like; GitHub Github Action, Artifactory, ArgoCD. Experience in administration and implementation of HashiCorp Vault is desirable but not a must.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
