We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Platform Engineer with 6-9 years of experience to join our growing technology team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the core infrastructure and developer platforms that power our applications and services. You will play a pivotal role in driving automation, scalability, security, and reliability across the organization's systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about platform engineering, experienced in cloud technologies, and thrives in solving complex infrastructure challenges.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development & Optimization: Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient platform solutions that enable high availability and performance of applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, manage, and optimize infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Cloud Engineering: Work extensively with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to design secure and cost-optimized infrastructure solutions.
• CI/CD & Automation: Create and enhance continuous integration and deployment pipelines for faster, reliable, and automated delivery of applications.
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure platform reliability, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance.
• Collaboration with Development Teams: Partner with software engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to provide seamless infrastructure support and accelerate product delivery.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure platform security by following best practices in authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze system bottlenecks and enhance platform efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Incident Management: Actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving production incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and preventive measures.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6-9 years of professional experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar infrastructure-focused role.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with deep knowledge of core services such as compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Helm).
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI).
• Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, Go, Shell, or Bash.
• Strong grasp of Linux/Unix system administration.
• Knowledge of security best practices in platform design and deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to big data or high-volume transaction systems.
• Contribution to open-source projects or communities.
