Conceptualization: . Support Product Planning through PPH and PSL for Business case preparation by providing cost benchmarks and estimations. Delivery: SBC : Share Part/System wise material cost targets ( business case targets ) with platform team and respective COEs. Provide timely feasibility comments on SOR / Drawing basis business case targets Provide timely SBC (Should be costing) of parts to SSU VoB Timely communication of SBC of ROCM to SSU Support PFH to facilitate necessary cost approvals due to engineering changes (within TCP targets) Support Engineering and Purchasing in evaluating design proposals and supplier quotations Should be good in tracking cost elements at different stage of product development. Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and complexity Material Cost Custodian for monitoring the platform material cost. Closely work with PCM team to get the desired cost inputs Work with PCM team to assess material cost impact due to engineering changes and provide the necessary input to PFH / PPH/ CPH Monitoring and tracking of the project Business case (material cost) targets Provide visibility to CPH on overall material costs and raise necessary risk alarms along with the mitigation measures Cost Estimation for Make Vs Buy decision Requirements : - Education - B.E/B. Tech/DEE/DME -Mechanical/Automobile Experience - 8-10 years Skills - Awareness of CV range Supplier and Product base is Must A passion for understanding emerging technologies and subsequent key cost drivers Analytical ability to solve problems that are unique and sometimes complex Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering background Familiar with product structure, model viewing & measurements. Ability to design and implement new cost reports. Knowledge of SAP Able to communicate and present cost data information to senior level leadership. MS Excel and Power point Ability to assimilate a large amount of cost data and clearly condense / communicate information to Customers during meetings/ work with project engineers to summarize in an efficient way Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with global team members and cross functional peers Knowledge of Commodity and commodity trends, cost drivers, supplier base VAVE Levers Value stream mapping Knowledge of Product development cycle APQP awareness
