to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the customization and modification of our injection-molded crates and bins according to specific customer blueprints. You will use various plastic welding techniques to ensure that every custom product meets our high standards for strength, durability, and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication & Assembly:
Perform plastic welding on crates, bins, and industrial containers using
Hot Air, Speed Tip, or Extrusion welding
methods.
Customization:
Read and interpret drawings or customer sketches to modify standard products.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished welds for consistency, airtightness (where required), and structural integrity.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and calibrate welding guns, tips, and extrusion equipment to prevent downtime.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and proper ventilation when working with heated thermoplastics (HDPE, PP, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience in plastic welding.
Tool Proficiency:
Experience with hand-held hot air welders.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to understand measurements, tolerances, and 2D/3D design layouts.
Problem Solving:
Ability to determine the best welding rod and temperature settings based on the material thickness and type.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 20kg (45 lbs) when moving crates or bins.
Good eyesight for identifying minor defects or cracks in material.
