Job Title:

Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Plastic Surgery team. The PA will work closely with the plastic surgeon to provide high-quality patient care, assist in surgical and non-surgical procedures, and support patients throughout their treatment journey. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the plastic surgeon in patient consultations, evaluations, and treatment planning. Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and pre-operative assessments. Provide pre- and post-operative care, including wound management, dressing changes, and follow-up assessments. Assist in surgical procedures as per scope of practice. Administer non-surgical treatments (e.g., injectables, laser procedures) if trained and credentialed. Educate patients about procedures, recovery, risks, and expected outcomes. Document patient encounters, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure compliance with clinical protocols. Support clinic operations by coordinating patient flow, scheduling follow-ups, and ensuring continuity of care. Stay updated on advances in plastic and reconstructive surgery and aesthetic treatments.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. Current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C). Previous experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or surgical specialty preferred. Strong understanding of surgical and aesthetic procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical and surgical environment.
