Job Summary:

We are looking for a Plastic Mold Design Engineer with experience in injection and blow mold design to join our design and tooling team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing mold designs to ensure manufacturability, durability, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop 2D & 3D models for mold components, inserts, core-cavity layouts, and parting lines. Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and collaborate with production teams for design approval. Review mold flow simulations and optimize cooling, ejection, gating, and cycle times. Coordinate with internal tool room and external vendors for mold manufacturing and trials. Support mold trials, validation, and troubleshooting during sample development. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, drawings, and BOMs. Ensure all designs comply with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Required Qualifications:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or equivalent. 2-5 years of experience in plastic mold design (preferably in automotive or consumer goods industry). Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks, UG NX, AutoCAD). Good understanding of plastic materials, molding processes, and tolerances. Hands-on exposure to mold development, assembly, and testing.

Preferred Skills:

Strong visualization, design accuracy, and technical communication. Experience in working with cross-functional teams (tool room, production, QC). Problem-solving attitude and time management.

Work Timings:

Monday to Saturday | 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM

Salary Range:

?45,000 - ?50,000 per month (based on experience and skills)
