Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Machine Setup & Operation

Set up injection moulding machines, moulds, tools, and auxiliary equipment as per production requirements.

2. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Diagnose and resolve moulding issues such as flash, short shots, burn marks, warpage, and dimensional defects. Perform routine preventive maintenance of machines, moulds, and tools. Coordinate with maintenance team for major repairs or breakdowns.

3. Quality Assurance

Monitor product quality using visual inspection and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ensure products meet customer specifications and ISO/quality standards. Document process parameters and maintain accurate production logs.

4. Production Efficiency

Optimize cycle times and reduce material wastage. Support continuous improvement activities (5S, Kaizen, lean manufacturing). Ensure adherence to production schedules and minimize downtime.

5. Safety & Compliance

Follow plant safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and machine safety procedures. Ensure moulds and equipment are handled safely using cranes or hoists. Comply with company policies, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards. Adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cycle time) to ensure optimal performance. Perform start-up, shut-down, and change-over procedures safely and efficiently.
