Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the plastic injection moulding department, including production schedules, resource allocation, and team performance.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
Ensure all production activities adhere to strict quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
Conduct trials for new injection moulds, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to production.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for part defects, implementing effective and lasting solutions.
Interpret material data sheets and mould flow analysis reports to optimize processing parameters and material usage.
Mentor and train junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a management or senior technical role within the plastic injection moulding industry.
Mandatory:
Minimum diploma in Plastic Technology from the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology
(CIPET)
.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Plastics Engineering from CIPET.
In-depth knowledge of plastic processing techniques and a strong understanding of material properties.
Proven experience in a technical role, with a focus on moulding components for the electrical, electronics, or medical industries.
Hands-on experience with a variety of machines, including
Milacron and Shibaru Toshiba moulding machines
, with a working knowledge of machine tonnages ranging from
50T to 350T
.
Experience with a diverse range of engineering plastics, including but not limited to
Nylons, PC, and ABS
, with experience in processing both glass-filled and fire-retardant materials.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
