Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1. Mould Changeover

Perform mould changeovers on injection moulding machines as per schedule. Ensure correct installation, alignment, and securing of moulds. Connect all utilities such as water lines, hydraulic lines, and electrical connectors.

2. Machine Setup

Set process parameters during start-up following given job sheets. Ensure that the machine runs the correct cycle after mould change. Coordinate with the production team to validate first-piece approval.

3. Maintenance & Safety

Inspect moulds for wear, damage, and cleanliness before and after installation. Perform minor maintenance like cleaning, lubricating, and preventive checks. Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed during lifting and handling.

4. Documentation

Maintain mould change records and downtime logs. Update mould history and machine status reports. Report any issues to maintenance or production supervisors.

5. Coordination

Work closely with production, QA, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations. Assist in planning mould change scheduling to optimize productivity.

Skills & Qualifications:Technical Skills

Knowledge of injection moulding machines (e.g., JSW, Haitian, L&T, Engel, etc.). Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical mould systems. Ability to read mould assembly drawings. Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts & lifting tools.

Personal Skills

Strong problem-solving ability. Good communication and teamwork. Ability to work under pressure and meet production timelines.

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Plastics, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of experience in mould change operations in plastic injection moulding industry.

Additional Requirements

Must follow 5S and safety standards. Physically fit for handling heavy mould equipment. Willingness to work in shifts.
