Job Description

A Water Treatment Plant Operating Engineer / Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of by operating and maintaining equipment, monitoring water quality, and ensuring compliance with regulations

Responsibilities:

+ Operate and monitor water treatment equipment and processes to ensure clean and safe water delivery to the community. + Perform regular inspections and water sample tests to monitor quality parameters (e.g., pH, chlorine, turbidity). + Adjust treatment processes and equipment settings to ensure regulatory compliance. + Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, test results, chemical usage, and maintenance activities. + Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as pumps, valves, filters, and chemical feed systems. + Analyze data and trends to identify issues or improvements and implement corrective actions. + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., EPA, state, and local agencies). + Respond promptly to emergencies or equipment malfunctions to prevent disruptions and protect public health. + Collaborate with operators and maintenance teams to coordinate operations and upkeep. + Stay informed on the latest water treatment technologies and regulatory updates.

Qualification & Skills

+ Any Degree / Diploma / B.E. in any specialization. + Fresher or 1+ year of experience in water treatment plant operations. + Strong technical knowledge of water treatment systems and processes. + Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. + Attention to detail for accurate monitoring and analysis. + Ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations. + Effective communication and teamwork skills. + Physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks and operate heavy equipment. + Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies quickly. * + Proficient in computer skills for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
