Plan, organize, and control daily production activities to achieve targets.
Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
Review and monitor daily production schedules and work orders.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks or delays in the manufacturing process.
Coordinate with design, planning, and project departments to align production with delivery timelines.
Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards (ISO, IEC, etc.).
Implement corrective actions for non-conformities or customer complaints.
Supervise testing and inspection of electrical panels before dispatch.
Conduct periodic quality audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all machines and equipment.
Ensure minimal downtime and quick response to breakdowns.
Coordinate with maintenance team for spare parts planning and procurement.
Supervise plant supervisors, operators, and technicians.
Assign duties, monitor performance, and ensure discipline on the shop floor.
Identify skill gaps and coordinate with HR for training and development.
Ensure adherence to attendance, shift schedules, and company policies.
Enforce strict compliance with safety standards and PPE usage.
Conduct regular safety drills, tool-box meetings, and hazard assessments.
Report and document all incidents or near misses, and implement preventive measures.
Coordinate with purchase and store departments for raw material availability.
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials and finished goods.
Liaise with other departments -- Design, Project, Marketing, and Accounts -- for smooth workflow.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management.
Participate in management meetings for production planning and review
Drive process optimization and automation initiatives.
Encourage employee suggestions and implement innovative ideas.
Benchmark plant performance with industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing (preferably in electrical panel boards or similar industry).
Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and production planning tools.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
