Turakhia Steels Private Limited is engaged in steel manufacturing and processing, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Taloja plant plays a critical role in meeting production and delivery commitments.
We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to oversee end-to-end plant operations at our Taloja facility. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in steel manufacturing, and the ability to drive productivity, cost control, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for plant operations, including production, maintenance, warehouse, and dispatch
Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials
Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) across plant functions
Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications
Drive preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime
Monitor plant KPIs related to productivity, yield, rejection, safety, and costs
Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics, and corporate teams
Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations
Lead and develop plant staff, supervisors, and department heads
Conduct regular reviews, audits, and performance evaluations
Manage plant budgets and control operational expenses
Desired Candidate Profile
Engineering graduate (Mechanical / Metallurgical / Production preferred)
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in steel manufacturing or processing plants
Proven experience managing complete plant operations
Strong knowledge of steel processes, machinery, and quality systems
Hands-on experience with production planning, maintenance, and manpower management
Good understanding of safety standards, statutory compliances, and industrial best practices
Leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office
