Key responsibilities

Operations management:

Supervise all daily manufacturing and production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.

Safety and compliance:

Enforce safety protocols, monitor adherence to health and safety guidelines, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.

Staff and leadership:

Manage plant staff, coordinate schedules, set performance goals, and foster a positive and productive work environment.

Production and scheduling:

Coordinate production schedules to meet facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning.

Cost control:

Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, manage operational expenses within budget, and investigate cost-saving measures.

Maintenance:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for equipment and the facility.

Performance and reporting:

Monitor key performance indicators, prepare production and performance reports, and maintain all administrative records.

Continuous improvement:

Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall productivity.
Essential skills and qualifications

Strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, and human resources. Technical expertise and familiarity with industry-standard equipment and processes. Computer literacy and proficiency with financial and other relevant software. Ability to multitask and make sound decisions.
