Job Description

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the overall operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production, quality output, cost control, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operations Management

Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing activities to achieve production targets. Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials. Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as needed to meet deadlines.

2. Quality Assurance

Maintain strict quality standards in line with company and customer requirements. Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality deviations. Coordinate with the Quality team for audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Maintenance & Equipment Management

Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of machinery and utilities. Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.

4. Manpower & Team Leadership

Lead, train, and motivate plant staff for better performance. Ensure proper manpower planning, shift scheduling, and discipline on the shop floor.

5. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and cleanliness in the plant.

6. Inventory & Cost Control

Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and inventory levels. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

7. Reporting & Coordination

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production and performance reports. Coordinate with departments like Purchase, Sales, and Finance for smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum

05-10 years

of experience in a manufacturing industry, with at least

5 years

in a managerial role.

Industry Preference:

Key Skills:

Strong leadership and decision-making skills In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery Excellent communication and problem-solving ability Proficiency in production planning, lean manufacturing, and ERP systems Sound understanding of quality, safety, and compliance norms

Work Environment:

Plant-based role with responsibility for entire production unit. Requires coordination across multiple departments .

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
