This role includes developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, planning and coordinating all maintenance activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the maintenance of machines, Molds, and fixtures to ensure optimal performance.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and installations.Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance as required.Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.Create and manage maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.Ensure the closure of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) related assignments.Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.Maintain Maintenance Information System (MIS) reports for tracking and analysis.Establish and monitor KPIs for each area of responsibility.Maintain inventory of critical spares to ensure availability when needed.Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial constraints.Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and equipment performance.Develop and implement emergency response plans for maintenance-related incidents.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality and timely service delivery.Oversee the management and tracking of all maintenance-related assets, ensuring proper utilization and lifecycle management.Skills and Qualifications:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.Knowledge of rubber transfer and injection moulding, utilities, and hydraulic press operations.Basic knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).Understanding of safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Ability to maintain and analyse maintenance MIS reports.Excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and collaborate with other departments.Education and Experience:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Who are we?Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail as well as the mining, marine, and industrial markets.
