Job Position:Plant HR Head
Location: Bidar(Karnataka)
Salary-As per industry standard
Key Responsibilities:
The HR Head will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the sugar factory. This includes areas of workforce planning, talent acquisition, industrial relations, performance management, learning & development, legal compliance, and organizational development, particularly in a unionized, factory-based environment.
1. HR Strategy & Leadership
Design and implement HR strategies aligned with the companys objectives. Lead organizational culture, employee engagement, and talent management.
Act as a strategic advisor to senior management on HR matters.

Recruitment & Workforce Planning
Plan and manage manpower requirements for factory and support functions.
Lead end-to-end recruitment for skilled/unskilled labor, technical staff, and management.
Collaborate with operations to ensure adequate workforce availability during crushing and off-seasons.
3.
Industrial Relations (IR) & Compliance
Maintain strong and proactive union relationships; manage negotiations and conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with labor laws including Factories Act, ESI, PF, and other statutory obligations.
Maintain harmonious labor relations and grievance handling.
4.
Training & Development Design and implement training programs for factory workers, engineers, and supervisors.
Promote skill development and safety awareness among factory personnel.
Drive continuous learning culture and career growth plans.

Performance ManagementImplement performance management systems (KRA/KPI based).
Facilitate performance reviews and ensure fair appraisal practices.
Identify and reward high-performing employees.
6.
HR Operations & Systems
Oversee payroll, attendance, shift management, and HRIS.
Maintain accurate employee records and reports.
Manage HR audits and coordinate with finance on salary budgets.
7.
Health, Safety & Welfare
Collaborate with the Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment.
Monitor statutory welfare measures as per the Factories Act.
Conduct safety drills and awareness campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:MBA/PGDM in HR or MSW (Human Resource specialization)
Experience:Minimum 1015 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a factory setup (preferably in sugar/agro/food processing sectors).
In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and factory labor dynamics.
Experience in managing unionized workforce and handling IR matters.
