to lead the human resources and administrative functions at our manufacturing facility. This role is critical for ensuring smooth plant operations through effective workforce management, compliance, employee engagement, and general administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, labor laws, industrial relations, and plant administration.
Key Responsibilities:Human Resources:
Manage end-to-end HR operations for the plant including recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, performance management, and exit processes.
Maintain harmonious
industrial relations
and handle union matters, grievances, and disciplinary actions in coordination with legal advisors.
Ensure compliance with
labour laws
such as Factories Act, ESI, PF, Minimum Wages Act, and other statutory requirements.
Implement and monitor HR policies, SOPs, and best practices.
Coordinate with corporate HR for implementation of organization-wide initiatives like talent development, HRMS usage, and HR audits.
Drive employee engagement programs, welfare activities, and training & development initiatives.
Maintain and analyze HR metrics including attrition, absenteeism, productivity, and morale.
Administration:
Oversee plant administration including security, housekeeping, transportation, canteen, and accommodation facilities.
Monitor plant infrastructure, utility services, and administrative procurement to ensure cost-effective operations.
Manage liaison with government/local authorities, vendors, and service providers.
Ensure occupational health and safety practices are followed in coordination with the EHS team.
Maintain proper documentation and records for inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field (MBA in HR/IR preferred).
8-12 years of experience in HR and administration, with at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing plant environment.
Strong understanding of labor laws, factory compliance, and union management.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle crises and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters
