Job Description

We're currently seeking a plant manager to oversee the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions of one of our largest plants. This professional multitasker will coordinate the plant's manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail oriented and able to lead a team, serving as liaison between plant workers and upper management. This person must be dedicated to achieving operational excellence and have a genuine interest in helping the company succeed.

Objectives of this role:

Ideate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facilityProvide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipmentCollaborate with functional departments in the implementation of improvementsInvestigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product qualityApply lean manufacturing principles in designing, specifying, and validating world-class manufacturing processes that achieve organizational goalsResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate manufacturing operations for production, machinery, processing, and packaging departmentsEnsure that production line schedules are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planningManage materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of organizational goals and objectivesManage cost structures for manufacturing by keeping operational expenses within budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measuresCreate documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewed

Required skills and qualifications:

Ten or more years of experience in plant operations or engineeringProven skills in leadership and supervisionDemonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principlesPreferred skills and qualificationsBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business, engineering, or related fieldExperience in international business operations
