Job Description

A Plastic Injection Tool Room Manager oversees all activities related to tooling for plastic injection moulding, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency. This includes managing the tool room team, overseeing tooling maintenance and repairs, and collaborating with production and engineering to implement improvements and optimize processes, according to a job description.

Key Responsibilities:

Tooling Maintenance and Repair:



Ensuring all tools are properly maintained, calibrated, and repaired to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Team Management:



Leading and supervising the tool room team, including mold technicians, to ensure effective workflow and productivity.

Tool Room Operations:



Managing the tool room environment, ensuring it is safe, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

Collaboration and Communication:



Working closely with production and engineering teams to address issues, implement improvements, and ensure the smooth running of injection molding processes.

New Tool Development:



Participating in the design, development, and implementation of new moulds and tooling.

Cost Efficiency:



Implementing strategies to reduce costs associated with tooling maintenance and repairs, while maintaining quality and reliability. Providing tool manufacturing estimation cost for preparing the quotation to customer along with business development.

Inventory Management:



Monitoring and managing the inventory of tools and materials used in the tool room, ensuring timely procurement and efficient use.

Process Improvement:



Identifying areas for improvement in tooling processes, and developing and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.

Quality Control:



Ensuring that all tools meet quality standards and specifications, and that the finished products meet customer requirements.

Safety:



Ensuring that all tool room activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, and that all personnel are properly trained in safety procedures.

Other expectations -

a) Basic SAP knowledge & working skill pertaining to marketing & sales.

b) Coordinating with Product Engg , plant production, for product feasibility, costing & preparation of quotations.

c) QMS system ( APQP, PPAP ) pertaining to new product tool development.

d) Creative & innovative thinking skill

e) Excellent knowledge of tool mfging various process like EDM, VMC, wire cutting, etc .

f) Excellent communication skill.

g) Knowledge & working skills in all latest 3D software's used for product & tool designing.

h) Basic inj moulding process knowledge & skills

i) Strong planning skill of tool manufacturing & man power planning aligning to customer on time delivery

j) Strong skill of tool trouble shootings & over come the troubles right first time while conducting tool trails.

k) Working location - Chakan Pune

l) Qualification - B.Mech / NTTF / Tool & Die making / CIPT

m) Experience purely in heading toolroom

n) B.Mech - 16 to 18yrs

o) NTTF / Tool & die making / CIPT - 18 to 20yrs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?2,159,921.52 per year
