About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead the operations of a

metal furniture manufacturing plant

. The role involves managing production, quality, maintenance, workforce, and safety to ensure efficient and timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

Plan and manage day-to-day plant operations to meet production targets. Oversee fabrication, welding, powder coating, assembly, and finishing processes. Optimize manpower, machines, and material utilization. Track and improve production KPIs (efficiency, downtime, rejection rates, OEE).

Quality Assurance

Ensure adherence to product quality standards and specifications. Minimize defects, rework, and customer complaints. Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma).

Maintenance & Utilities

Supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of welding, CNC/laser cutting machines, powder coating lines, and presses. Ensure uninterrupted availability of utilities.

Workforce Management

Lead, mentor, and motivate supervisors, engineers, and operators. Implement training programs for skill and safety enhancement. Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance.

Safety, Compliance & Cost Control

Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards. Implement 5S and workplace safety practices. Control costs, reduce wastage, and drive productivity.

Planning & Reporting

Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and sales for smooth operations. Prepare MIS reports on production, costs, and manpower. Support budgeting and CAPEX planning for expansions.

Key Requirements

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering (preferred)

Experience:

12-15 years in metal fabrication/manufacturing, including 5-7 years as Plant/Production Manager.

Technical Expertise:

Welding, sheet metal fabrication, CNC/laser cutting, powder coating, and assembly lines. Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and 5S practices.

Skills:

Strong leadership & people management. Problem-solving and analytical mindset. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, production planning tools, and MS Office.

Pay: ₹1,598,383.65 - ₹1,939,940.19 per year
