to lead operations at our automotive manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical engineering foundation with 8-10 years of experience in production, operations, and plant management within the
automotive or auto components sector
. You will be responsible for end-to-end plant operations, driving efficiency, quality, safety, and team performance in line with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage overall plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and manpower.
Ensure achievement of daily/monthly production targets while maintaining quality and cost control.
Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination across departments.
Implement and sustain 5S, Kaizen, and safety protocols across the shop floor.
Monitor and control plant KPIs - OEE, productivity, downtime, rejections, and wastage.
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific requirements.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to ensure maximum uptime of machinery.
Lead audits (internal, external, customer) and ensure compliance with all statutory and environmental regulations.
Prepare and manage plant budgets, resource planning, and cost optimization.
Build and mentor a high-performing plant team, ensuring training, motivation, and performance management.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, assembly lines, and machining operations.
Hands-on experience in managing Tier 1/Tier 2 auto component manufacturing preferred.
Proficiency in lean tools, Six Sigma methodologies, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Deep knowledge of quality systems (IATF, ISO) and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and dynamic production schedules.
Preferred Experience:
Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive component manufacturing
Assembly line operations (engine, transmission, chassis components, etc.)
Experience working with OEMs or major auto brands
