Plant Head - Manufacturing Operations

Qualification
Diploma / BE in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Production Engineering.
Experience
10+ years in high-volume Electro-Mechanical / Electronics Manufacturing ( PCB, SMT, Electronic Assembly).
Role Purpose
Overall in-charge of plant operations including Production, Production Planning, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality. Responsible for operational effectiveness, on-time delivery, capacity utilization, cost control, safety, and compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Production & Planning
Ensure consolidated long-term plan and 3-day rolling plan is released and executed.
Review daily production performance vs plan; drive productivity improvements using Lean manufacturing techniques.
Achieve targeted production capacity and machine utilization.
Conduct daily production reviews and drive actions to eliminate bottlenecks.
Materials & Inventory Management
Ensure zero line stoppage due to material shortage or machine breakdown.
Plan material availability 3 days ahead of production schedule.
Monitor and reduce WIP, non-moving and slow-moving inventory.
Achieve inventory KPIs
Quality, Engineering & Documentation
Ensure timely release of production documentation for new and ongoing projects.
Achieve OTD (On-Time Delivery) targets for all projects.
Monitor in-house yields, Process PPM, and customer satisfaction metrics; implement improvement actions.
Ensure compliance with IATF, Safety, Environment, and customer-specific standards.
Drive 5S culture across production and warehouse.
Maintenance & Asset Management
Ensure preventive maintenance of machines, tools, and fixtures to avoid downtime.
Plan and control budgets for capital goods, jigs, tools, and fixtures.
Performance Management
Lead continuous improvement, OEE enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives.
Review and track weekly performance of Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality functions.
Responsible for achieving labor productivity and reducing overtime.
Drive workforce planning to maintain optimum labor ratio.
People Leadership & Culture
Manage workforce across Production, Stores, Tool Room & Process Engineering.
Promote cohesive working culture by resolving inter-departmental issues.
Lead, mentor, and develop a performance-driven team.
Track non-conformances with action plans in coordination with MR and management reporting.
Maintain daily MIS reporting and present updates to management.
