Role description

Role Purpose: Manages all preventive and predictive maintenance activities including responding to machine breakdowns promptly within the units Key Accountabilities: Diploma (Engineering) with 6-10 years of experience in plant operations/ maintenance or Engineer with 2-5 years experience. Has considerable experience in maintenance of cabling and wires production units and processes Preferred Experience and Qualification:



Monitors performance of cabling plant/unit equipment by deploying periodic checks and inspections



Continuously explore opportunity to improve machine availability and maintain reduced breakdown related line stoppage



Allocates and manages work for specific cabling section



Maintains ongoing communication with stakeholders during breakdown to ensure that they are up to date on progress



Responsible for propagating 5S/Kaizen methodologies



Responsible for planning and scheduling preventive and predictive maintenance while ensuring minimal impact on business continuity



Manage the Shift in charges, analyze their performance and ensure their development

Skills

Hands-on experience in operations and maintenance of fiber manufacturing plants, with strong working knowledge of related machinery, including commissioning and manufacturing installations.



Proven leadership capability to manage end-to-end maintenance activities of a complete fiber plant, supported by effective communication and coordination skills.



Strong electrical and mechanical expertise in legacy-generation fiber manufacturing machines, including troubleshooting, refurbishment, and sustaining reliable operations
