Roles and Responsibilities:



Assist in the conceptual and detailed design of LPG, Ammonia, CO?, Propylene, and other industrial gas plants. Develop and review P&IDs, GA drawings, piping layouts, and equipment drawings. Support selection and specification of pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and other mechanical equipment. Prepare and update mechanical datasheets, BOMs, and technical documents. Collaborate with process, electrical, civil, and instrumentation teams for multidisciplinary coordination. Learn and apply relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, API, IS, ANSI, PESO, OISD, etc.). Support 3D plant modelling and clash detection using tools (where applicable). Assist in preparing documentation for design reviews, HAZOP studies, and client approvals. Perform basic pressure drop, flow, and mechanical calculations under guidance. Participate in vendor discussions and technical evaluations.

Qualifications:



B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. 0-1 year of experience (freshers welcome). Strong foundation in core mechanical concepts - thermodynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, etc. Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of 3D tools like SolidWorks, Plant 3D, PDMS, or E3D is a plus. Interest in plant design, piping, and pressure equipment engineering. Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn engineering codes and industrial practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process diagrams.

Preferred (Not Mandatory):



Internship or project experience in plant or piping design. Familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, and piping isometrics. Exposure to software like CAESAR II (piping stress analysis), PV Elite (vessel design), or HTRI (heat exchanger design).
