Job Description

ob Purpose

To plan, monitor, and control fabric production activities efficiently to meet delivery schedules, optimize capacity utilization, control costs, and ensure smooth coordination between merchandising, production, and dispatch, with strong involvement in fabric costing and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Control

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on order priorities and delivery commitments.

Plan fabric production across knitting / dyeing / finishing processes.

Ensure optimal machine utilization and manpower planning.

Monitor production progress and take corrective actions for delays or bottlenecks.

Coordinate with inspection team to plan to complete the on time inspection to be completed.

Order & Delivery Coordination

Coordinate with merchandising / sales team to understand order requirements, fabric specifications, and delivery timelines.

Track order-wise production status and ensure on-time delivery.

Communicate delays, shortages, or issues proactively to concerned departments.

Costing & Cost Control

Prepare and analyze fabric costing including yarn cost, processing cost, wastage, overheads, and conversion cost.

Monitor actual production cost vs standard cost and analyze variances.

Control wastage in yarn, fabric, chemicals, utilities, and manpower.

Support management in price negotiation and cost optimization strategies.

Material Planning

Plan and monitor yarn, dyes, chemicals, and accessories requirement based on production plans.

Coordinate with purchase and stores for timely availability of materials.

Avoid excess inventory and stock shortages.

Process Coordination

Coordinate with knitting / weaving, dyeing, finishing, quality, stores, and dispatch teams.

Ensure smooth workflow between departments with minimal idle time.

Support quality team to minimize rejections and reprocessing.

MIS & Reporting

Prepare production MIS reports - efficiency, productivity, rejections, wastage, and cost analysis.

Maintain order-wise and machine-wise production data.

Present planning and costing reports to management regularly.

Compliance & Discipline

Ensure adherence to company policies, safety norms, and factory discipline.

Support audits and internal reviews related to production planning and costing.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of fabric manufacturing processes

Hands-on experience in production planning & control (PPC)

Good understanding of fabric costing and budgeting

Strong coordination and communication skills

Analytical and problem-solving ability

Proficiency in Excel / ERP / MIS systems

Qualification & Experience

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Textile Engineering (preferred)

8-12 years of experience in fabric manufacturing, with at least 3-5 years in a planning role

Experience in costing and production control is mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹873,750.15 per year
