Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical Civil Planning Engineer to join our dynamic project team at the Head Office. The ideal candidate, will play a pivotal role in the comprehensive planning and meticulous monitoring of our civil projects. This position demands a strong ability to develop robust project schedules, accurately track progress, perform critical analysis, and ensure seamless coordination across various departments, ultimately contributing to the timely and efficient execution of projects in alignment with client and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Scheduling & Management:

o Develop, update, and meticulously maintain comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard software such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

o Perform in-depth critical path analysis to identify and manage key project dependencies and potential bottlenecks.

o Conduct resource loading, levelling, and forecasting to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

Collaboration & Coordination:

o Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, execution/site operations, and commercial departments to gather essential inputs for accurate and integrated project planning.

o Integrate subcontractor schedules seamlessly into the master project schedule, ensuring alignment and identifying potential conflicts.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting:

o Diligently track project progress against baselines, preparing regular and insightful Management Information System (MIS) reports.

o Generate various analytical reports, including S-curves for progress visualization, look-ahead schedules for short-term planning, and detailed delay analysis to identify root causes and impacts.

o Prepare baseline programs and diligently update project plans in accordance with actual site progress and unforeseen changes.

Risk Management & Documentation:

o Support claim management processes by providing accurate data and documentation related to project delays and impacts.

o Assist in the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) documentation with supporting evidence.

Compliance & Review:

o Ensure that all planning activities are meticulously aligned with established safety protocols, quality standards, and budget parameters.

o Actively participate in internal and external project review meetings, providing clear updates on schedule status, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience:

2 to 4 years of proven experience in civil project planning and scheduling, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is essential.

o Strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling and earned value management (EVM) principles.

o Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Soft Skills:

o Highly motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all planning and reporting tasks.

o Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

o Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month
