Job Description

The Planning Engineer (Civil) is responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling civil construction activities to ensure timely completion of projects within approved cost, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

project schedules

(baseline, detailed and master schedules) using

Primavera P6 / MS Project

Develop

work breakdown structures (WBS)

and activity sequencing Monitor

project progress

against planned schedules and identify delays Prepare

weekly, monthly and look-ahead schedules

Conduct

schedule impact analysis

and propose recovery plans Coordinate with

site engineers, contractors, consultants, and procurement teams

Track

material, manpower, and equipment deployment

Prepare

progress reports, S-curves, bar charts, and dashboards

Assist in

budget monitoring and cost control

Support

claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT)

documentation Ensure planning aligns with

contract requirements and milestones

Participate in

review meetings

and update schedules based on site inputs

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

construction sequencing and methodologies

Proficiency in

Primavera P6 / MS Project

Good understanding of

civil drawings and BOQs

Analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent coordination and communication abilities Time management and attention to detail

Educational Qualification

B.E / B.Tech - Civil Engineering

Certification in

Primavera / Project Management

(preferred)

Experience

3-8 years

of experience in planning for

building, infrastructure, or real estate projects

Exposure to

high-rise buildings / large infrastructure projects

is an advantage
Locations: Chennai/Hyderbad

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
