Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Planning Engineer with hands-on experience in Primavera P6, specifically in resource loading, costing, and monitoring functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project planning and scheduling, coupled with expertise in utilizing Primavera P6 software to optimize resource utilization, manage project costs, and monitor project performance effectively.

Location:

Initially 1 to 2 months in India office and then posted at Saudi Arabia @ project site.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

2. Implement resource loading techniques in Primavera P6 to effectively allocate manpower, equipment, and materials according to project requirements and constraints.

3. Utilize Primavera P6's costing features to estimate project costs, track expenditures, and analyze project budget variances throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Monitor project progress and performance against the planned schedule, resource utilization, and budget, and identify deviations or risks that may impact project delivery.

5. Generate regular reports and dashboards using Primavera P6 to provide project stakeholders with timely updates on project status, key performance indicators, and forecasted outcomes.

6. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and scenario analysis using Primavera P6 to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

7. Collaborate with project teams to evaluate change requests, assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and costs, and incorporate approved changes into the project plan.

8. Provide technical support and training to project team members on Primavera P6 functionalities related to resource loading, costing, and monitoring.

9. Ensure compliance with project management standards, methodologies, and organizational policies in all project planning and scheduling activities.

10. Continuously evaluate and optimize project planning processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

a. Bachelor's degree in engineering or in construction management, or related field.

b. Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.

c. Proficiency in Primavera P6 software and other project management tools and software.

d. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, techniques, and best practices.

e. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

f. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

g. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

h. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
