Planning EngineerKey ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & SchedulingDevelop comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software

Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and critical path analysis

Prepare baseline schedules and resource allocation plans

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors for schedule development

Monitoring & ControlTrack project progress against baseline schedules

Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports

Conduct schedule risk analysis and mitigation planning

Monitor resource utilization and productivity metrics

Stakeholder CoordinationInterface with clients, contractors, and subcontractors on scheduling matters

Attend project meetings and present schedule updates

Coordinate with procurement team for material delivery schedules

Collaborate with quality and safety teams for integrated planning

Documentation & ReportingMaintain project documentation and schedule revisions

Prepare look-ahead schedules and three-week rolling forecasts

Generate progress reports with earned value analysis

Update project dashboards and KPI tracking

Required QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Professional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred

Experience3-7 years of experience in construction project planning

Experience with infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects in India

Knowledge of Indian construction practices and regulatory requirements

Technical SkillsProficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and scheduling software

Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices

Understanding of earned value management and cost control



Software ProficiencyAdvanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

AutoCAD and project management tools

ERP systems experience preferred

Essential CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Knowledge of local labor laws and construction regulations
