Develops understanding of function for procurement of parts, manufacturing processes, and supply base development.
Establishes and maintains positive long-term relationships with suppliers through regular communication of performance status, supplier meetings, and supplier visits.
Obtains and maintains supplier delivery promise dates, confirmed ship dates, changed ship dates, and issues updates for open orders.
Identifies and documents supplier delivery issues and codes for supplier performance reporting.
Identifies issues and develops plans to improve and report On Time Delivery.
Analyzes and monitors supplier deliveries and supplier delivery performance.
Engages problem suppliers to drive and improve supplier delivery.
Coordinates activities within the company to improve the working relationship with the customer and supply base.
Performs supplier maintenance in required systems.
Issues and follows up on supplier 8Ds and corrective actions.
Handles QOS and purchasing metrics tracking and reporting.
Designs, implements, and reviews reports that provide the necessary information to monitor customer requirements and supplier performance.
Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain function.
Other duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications:Functional Skills: SCM fundamentals & concept Supply management Analytical skills Good communication Cross country exposure. Education Qualification: Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Industrial Engineer No. of Years of Experience: 3 to 5 Years. Professional Exposure: Auto components / Service Parts / Logistics / Inventory Planning & Management. Working Knowledge in SAP / BAAN / FCSD Systems would be an added advantage.
