Key Responsibilities

Load Planning & Vehicle Fit

+ Evaluate material characteristics (size, weight, handling needs) to ensure proper vehicle assignment.
+ Determine and select the appropriate transport vehicle (e.g., truck type, container) for optimal fit and safety.

Route Design & Geographic Coordination

+ Develop optimal routes leveraging geographic knowledge to minimize distance, cost, and delivery time.
+ Account for road types, terrain, traffic patterns, and regulatory restrictions.

Scheduling & Dispatch Coordination

+ Plan and schedule loading and dispatch timelines to meet delivery windows and operational targets.
+ Liaise with warehouse staff, drivers, and clients to align on loading times and expectations.

Operational Awareness & Process Alignment

+ Monitor warehouse and loading operations closely, ensuring capacity constraints and timing align with schedules.
+ Integrate with overall logistics workflows, maintaining communication across departments (warehouse, operations, dispatch).

Carrier & Vendor Communication

+ Coordinate with carriers and drivers, providing clear instructions regarding route, load specifics, and delivery requirements.
+ Act promptly to address any disruptions or deviations during transit.
