Job Purpose
To lead and manage the placement cell by establishing and nurturing strong industry relations, ensuring optimum placement opportunities for students, and aligning corporate expectations with institutional objectives. The role demands strategic planning, corporate outreach, and continuous student engagement to strengthen SCMS's brand in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Placement Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement annual placement strategy in alignment with institutional goals.
Forecast placement trends and prepare action plans to achieve high-quality placements across sectors.
Build strong brand positioning of SCMS among top recruiters.
2. Corporate Relations & Networking
Identify, approach, and onboard potential recruiters across industries (MNCs, start-ups, consulting firms, etc.).
Strengthen and sustain relationships with existing recruiters for repeat engagement.
Represent the institute at corporate networking events, industry forums, and conferences.
3. Student Engagement & Preparation
Conduct placement readiness programs including resume building, aptitude training, interview skills, and mock group discussions.
Counsel and mentor students on career pathways, industry requirements, and placement processes.
Ensure students are industry-ready and aligned with recruiter expectations.
4. Placement Operations
Plan, coordinate, and execute the entire placement process including pre-placement talks, recruitment drives, interviews, and offer rollouts.
Maintain accurate records of placement statistics, recruiter feedback, and student progress.
Prepare placement reports, MIS data, and analytics for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Industry-Academia Interface
Facilitate internships, live projects, and industry interaction sessions.
Collaborate with faculty to incorporate recruiter feedback into curriculum enhancements.
Coordinate guest lectures, corporate talks, and panel discussions with industry leaders.
6. Team Leadership & Administration
Lead the placement team and student placement committee to ensure smooth execution of activities.
Manage placement budget, logistics, and communication effectively.
Continuously benchmark SCMS placement practices with peer institutions.

Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Management/Business Administration/HR or related discipline.
9-13 years of experience in campus placements, corporate relations, HR, or talent acquisition (preferably in higher education institutions).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
