Job Title: Placement Officer - IT & Software Development

Location: Kaloor, Cochin

Job Summary:

The Placement Officer (IT) and Software development is responsible for managing and coordinating placement activities for students specializing in Information Technology and related domains. The role involves building strong industry connections, organizing recruitment drives, preparing students for interviews, and ensuring maximum placement opportunities with reputed organizations in the IT sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT companies, recruiters, and HR professionals to create placement opportunities.

Organize campus recruitment drives, internship programs, and career fairs.

Guide students in career planning, resume preparation, interview techniques, and professional communication.

Maintain a database of students, company contacts, placement records, and recruitment outcomes.

Track market trends, job requirements, and emerging technologies in the IT sector.

Coordinate pre-placement training such as aptitude tests, technical sessions, and soft-skill workshops.

Prepare reports, placement statistics, and documentation for management and accreditation purposes.

Represent the institution in placement meetings, career expos, and industry networking events.

Ensure smooth communication between students, faculty, and recruiting organizations during the placement process.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in placement coordination, recruitment, or corporate relations (preferably in IT education/training).

Strong network of IT industry contacts.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and online recruitment platforms.

Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and meet placement targets.
