Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Placement Officer to contribute in the implementation of marketing strategies and ready to do the field work.

Key responsibilities

Employer and industry engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with companies and organizations. Act as the main point of contact between institutions and industry partners. Pitch programs to potential employers to inform and gain acceptance.

Candidate and student support:

Provide career counseling and guidance on career decisions. Offer assistance with resume writing and interview preparation. Conduct mock interviews to help candidates practice and improve. Support candidates during their internships and placements to ensure a positive experience.

Placement event management:

Plan, organize, and execute placement drives, job fairs, and networking sessions. Coordinate with companies to schedule interviews and other recruitment activities.

Administrative and coordination tasks:

Track and report on placement outcomes, such as the number of students placed. Collaborate with internal teams (faculty, other departments) to align goals and ensure a smooth process. Maintain records and paperwork related to the placement process.

Market and skills alignment:

Stay updated on industry trends and job market demands. Collaborate with faculty to ensure the curriculum aligns with industry needs.
Typical qualifications

A bachelor's degree, often in a related field like business, HR, or education, is common, though some roles may prefer or require a master's degree. Experience in placement, career services, HR coordination, or a related field is often preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office is generally required.
